I am so, so lucky

Two friends from church came over last night and helped for a couple hours. Then Dangerously Amused and her friend came over and stayed 1/2 the night. DA crashed in the living room for a couple hours and is still here and refuses to stop helping. She has put up with me being totally overwhelmed and on the verge of cracking. I don't know what I did to deserve her in my life. I truly don't.

I thank God (Goddess, Higher Power...) for the gifts of kind, caring friends. None of them had to do this. But did.

I'm beyond words.

Give, and then pass it forward when you can. We all have down times.

That's the beauty of it. I've been on the receiving end at times, when I could give nothing in return. Then, when I could, or can, I pass it forward. It really feels good to give back.

I just did that today. A new neighbor in a pickle, and I drove her across town, gave her a pack of smokes, and bus fare to get back home. Made me feel a lot better than it did her.

Just accept the help for now. You've had an awful time, and it's your turn. You're a nice lady. :)
