i'm a bit delirious right now
Edited on Sun Mar-15-09 11:42 AM by fizzgig
my sister and i drove all night and made it into town a few hours ago. it was a much easier doing the drive at night and i got to appreciate just how many stars you can see out in the middle of nowhere wyoming and we were treated to brilliant moon and sunrises.

aside from about an hour nap, i've been up for about 27 hours now and feel a bit loopy but too wired to sleep.

how is sunday treating everyone so far :hi:

edit for speling

and another edit because i forgot that it is indeed sunday and not saturday :eyes:

1. The night sky is beautiful out in the middle of nowhere.
I live in the middle of nowhere and I love how brilliant the night sky is around here.

I'm feeling delirious today because of my cold/sore throat combo. On top of that, I have to work tonight. Gah. Oh well. At least I have tomorrow off.

2. i always seem to forget how breath taking it is
i usually only get to enjoy it a few times a year and it is such a joy for me. i'm sorry you're feeling cruddy and have to work tonight. have you tried a warm saltwater gargle for your throat? i know it sounds gross (and it is), but it can help. hope you feel better soon

4. I love driving out west
And the sky is one reason for that. There is also the beautiful, if sometimes barren, landscape and the little odd businesses and houses sprouting up here and there that seem to thrive in spite of the desolation and lack of a post office branch.

5. i've done a fair amount of driving in the west
it can be a tad boring, but there is some beautiful country out here and i've seen some odd things. on that note, i think they have light houses in the nebraska panhandle. at least that's the explanation i came up with for the rotating search lights in the middle of some of the fields :D
