This stuff they use instead of psesudoephedrine, to keep people from making
crank, doesn't work. Phenylephrine is no more a decongestant than powdered sugar is. Maybe less. But, I don't want to go buy another box of Sudafed, which I have to sign for. At this rate, they'll think I'm, well, making crank. And all because of my deep fondness for breathing.

As always, thank you for letting me rant. :achoo:

1. I hate the speed freaks for taking away my good sinus meds.

7. It'd make it easier to buy Sudafed, and we wouldn't have to be so worried
about protecting the anhydrous tanks, either. No one but speed freaks steal anhydrous (btw, a parishioner of mine was arrested for stealing anhydrous once. The shame damn near killed his mother.)

3. If you go and get the pharmacy brand, there are usually
more tablets in the box than the name brand. That way, you won't have to go back so often.

5. Good to know. I don't think the little card you take to the pharmacy
has as much info as the actual box. But maybe I just don't read it as carefully. Too busy trying to look like I'm really sick and not, you know, making crank.

6. Opt for the pharmacy brand.
sudafed has been off patent for years, so it's all the same.

Hope you feel better, critters.

10. Actually, I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel. The chest issues
seem to be gone. Now it's just stuffiness in my head, which is a vast improvement. I think it'll all be gone soon.

Thanks, Midlo!

9. I used to buy the stuff 500 pills at a time at Costco.
I guess these days they'd send you straight to Gitmo for that, but it's just the only OTC stuff that works for shit, and my eyes swell shut if my allergies get bad enough.

11. Oh yeah, they're not selling it in that kind of volume anymore.
More's the pity!

12. They restrict the amount you can buy in some places
In Minnesota, they have a registry and you can't buy more than a certain amount every month.

I can't remember how much it is, as I don't use it (bad drug interactions), but I think it's like 48 tablets a month.

14. Here, too. You have to ask for it at the pharmacy counter,
and the pharmacist makes a copy of your ID (that really bugs me), writes down how many you bought, and has you sign for them. I have no idea what the limit is, but I know they keep an eye on how much you buy.
