I swear The Daily Show is more probing than 60 Minutes
what the hell is wrong with this country that a comedy show is more trustworthy than nearly all the commercial shows with journalists on them?

(i'm watching Jon Stewart interview Cramer right now)

1. The comedians are always better at this.
Letterman hit McCain harder than anyone else did during the campaign. Bill Maher has been great for years. And Jon Stewart always does a great job but tonight was his best night ever I think.

3. at his best he is quite a muckracker
and for all those white house correspondents and pundits we see, the ones that get primo interviews --they get bullshitted day in and day out.

4. This weeks South Park and tonights Daily Show were the most cathartic moments of tv ever
Edited on Fri Mar-13-09 01:30 AM by rcrush
The way South Park ripped apart Disney and Christians and idiot parents. And Jon Stewart exposing CNBC for what they are.

6. All the journalists were probably threatened, due to the wiretaps.
Remember when they admitted right after Obama was sworn in, with the famous room at AT&T in San Francisco, that ALL domestic calls were routed thru that room and that they targeted journalists??

That's why they are lapdogs. And probably why Congress has been a bunch of spineless cowards too.

13. Damn that's good.
I like how the Fox dog is well fed and the NPR dog is being neglected.
By now the Fox dog would be as big as Rush.

7. Didn't Stewart win a major Journalism award a few years ago?
I seem to remember him being appalled by it....

12. Ah, what O'Reilly claimed to have won!
but, er, didn't.

I think that Stewart is up for another (which reflects pretty badly on the rest of the media).

14. If rush limbaugh is the new spokesman for the repuke party
then I nominate Jon Stewart as the spokesman for We The People. (btw I loved that interview and I hope that it gets long legs on the MSM starting tomorrow morning.)
