I can only read paragraphs containing, at most, 3 sentences

and then I can only read 3 to 4 paragraphs. This includes anything posted on DU. I have slipped into freeper reading levels. WTF happened?

5. It does make it a lot easier

if a long piece is broken up with some spaces. I was so backward with typing and computer skills it took me a couple of years to learn that 'enter' dropped the cursor down to the next line. So pathetic.

8. The internets have definitely harmed my reading habits.

I find I tend to skim much more. Now when I sit down to read a book (gasp!) I have to make a conscious effort to slow down and actually read the thing rather than just glance over it for the main points.
