found out my car is definitely dead, finished, kaput! The driveshaft broke and hit the road and took out the parking brake as well. Had it towed home today, got the wheels chocked because it has no gears and no brakes!

I'm really not that upset about it...After the last repair job I swore the next time something major happened it would be the last...In fact I consider myself lucky I wasn't on a busy street going 35 when it happened! It happened last night in front of a housing authority complex and today when the tow truck arrived several people came up and said they heard the racket last night and looked out their windows to see what was going on! In fact I feel kinda relieved about it! I figure I can get a few hundred dollars out of it, at least.
