1. There can be only one.
I kind of liked the Russians better when they weren't so damn rich.

2. I'm just glad Top Gear's US show is about dead.
Tanner Foust? Jesus Christ.

3. did that get stopped? I heard Adam Carolla's name and winced, his radio show just
got canceled as well. America needs to stop fing around with good shows from the BBC.

5. NBC said no to it. I don't see any takers with pockets deep enough
that won't rely on commercial income from companies that will likely have their products decimated on camera.

4. Tanner Foust at least has slightly more cred than Adam Corolla.
When I heard his name attached to the US version, I knew it would suck.

That said, if Tanner ever gives up that "Supercars Exposed" show, I will be happy to take over for him.

8. I hate him on "Supercars Exposed"
Take some really incredible opportunities and make them so BORING. He knows his cars, but he's a sucky presenter. That show could be really excellent, if he weren't on it.

10. He has no personality.
He's like a newsreader. It's like he doesn't enjoy it.

20. Building the 599, right?
I watched that earlier. Very good show. Makes you really appreciate the craftsmanship and understand the pricetag even more.

21. Yes, that's the one.
I may have seen this before, as some of this looks familiar, but worth watching again, I think.

11. When they announced that they were doing it, my first thought
was that the show was going to have to be sicky-sweet to Ford/GM/Chrysler so as to not piss off the commercial dollars.

"Hey, Adam, we just got a nice account from the Smart Car folks, so during this week's test, be sure to rave about how spacious and luxurious the car is, okay?"

:eyes:

13. That and inane, sophomoric commentary
meant to appeal to a certain demographic, whatever that might be. The combination of the two would have been like a strychnine pill fed to the whole concept. x(

14. LK wanted a Smart Car
Until I explained that just because they're scaled down they're still not for kids. He assumed that they were built for seven year old drivers.

22. It was interesting, to say the least
The torrent had a subtitles file which of course made it far more user-friendly.

They hate their Ladas just as much as the rest of the world. Every comment about them was along the lines of "this domestic scrap-metal", and "don't drive so fast this car is domestic!".

The Stig, when driving one of them said "It's a good thing he's in a mood to kill the small and weak"

And, if at any time one of them got out of a car and started beating on another driver, I'd have trouble appearing surprised.
