My best friend owns a nightclub here in Manchester. For a while, he tried booking live bands, and at the time you could get washed-up hair metal performers like Warrant and pre-reality show bret Michaels relatively cheap.

Well, he books Warrant to play a show. We're talking, and he excuses himself, saying he has to go meet the band at their hotel. I say, "oh, they're over at the Raddison", the Raddison being the main downtown hotel. The reply: "no, they're at the Super 8 over by the airport on Brown Ave.".

All that was missing was a puppet show on the bill...
