Over the Rhine: Anyone familiar with this Ohio band?
I accidentally stumbled across this two-person band a couple of days ago and am in love, somehow.

12. Hi, ulysses (and Chris)!
I just love when I find stuff that's been out there for a long while but new to me. Mornin', sunshine(s)!

16. I do too.
Intelligent people doing creative things, quietly - you have to love it.

Mr. Man is starting to take after his mother's night-owl habits, so while I was on my way to work at 6:45 this morning when you wrote, the two of them were sawing logs. He was a little illish yesterday, so at least he has an excuse.

3. They are awesome. I've seen them in concert twice.
I love that band. All of their stuff is great.

"My Love is a Fever" is most excellent as is "All I Need Is Everything."

They sound a lot like Innocence Mission.

6. I knew them way, way back in the day
They started off as a quasi-christian band, then moved in to more secular stuff later on. The band is named after one of the oldest neighborhoods in Cincinnati; I had friends of friends in the SW Ohio music scene that knew them, and they were all pretty nice people..

Curling Clubs are the old-school bowling palaces of The Rust Belt, and the Curling Lounge is just as packed as the Bowling ones, too. And I get to wear these awesome threads:

17. Yep! I've seen them play a couple times...
They sort of got overshadowed by Cowboy Junkies and Mazzy Star back in the day, but I believe they're still active. You should come over for a show sometime!

Somewhere are photos I took at a concert... I think I was shooting FILM at the time even!
