Good morning Lounge
How are you today? How was your weekend? Tell me, why are weekends always too short???
I bought some pillows for my new couch Saturday. And went for a drink with a friend.
Yesterday I wanted to be good and went for a bike ride in the afternoon. But the wind was too cold still for my ears. My one ear started hurting like hell and I didn't bring anything with me to cover it. So I had to cut short the ride and went home. The rest of the day I used to be a couch potato.
All in all it was a nice weekend.

This morning I barely made it out of bed. I wanted to stay in bed. But work was calling, what can I say.

My little stray calico buddy gave birth to her kittens this weekend.

I built her a waterproof cat house with electric heat the other week,
and she was using that...until her time came, when she ran off
and gave birth in the woods somewhere.

It's well below freezing here, so I have little hope that
those kittens will live long enough for me to ever see them.

She's a sweet cat, my Calico Crybaby......but she's not a SMART cat. :(

I'm kinda bummed about it.

96. No, she loves me too much to let me follow her.
As long as I'm outside, she won't leave. She follows ME
all around the grounds, for as long as I'm there. Then
she hangs around the back door for 20 minutes after
I go inside.

And whatever direction she goes to return to her kittens,
I haven't yet been able to spot her going that way
through any of the windows. :(

11. Howdy Miss H
I had an good weekend. Did some relaxing, some writing, and went to one of my uncle's birthday party. Yeah, time seems to fly by when we are free to do what we'd like. I don't understand it either.

Here is a picture of the truck I used to own. It was taken in the late 90s in Seattle, Washington on one of the first trips I ran with it. I wish I still owned that truck.

15. No just one trailer
I was just backed up real close to the grey trailer so the front of my truck wouldn't be hanging out in the intersection. :)

I had a lot of fun in that truck. I also had some hard times as well, to be honest. But owning that rig was good for me. The situations I encountered in it have been the fodder of some stories for me.

20. Good Afternoon, MissH
I had a great weekend - my party went really well - but it was way too short. We had a weather forecast for 5-8 inches of snow overnight, so I was hoping for a day off, but so far we've only gotten about an inch of that, so we are open. I woke up super early, and after staying in bed for 30 minutes without being able to fall asleep, I decided to come into work early, which is why I'm here now. I'll get to leave early too. :)

I like the picture today. It's quite interesting.

(thank god) - lots of people showed up and they all got along :woohoo:

I have a lot of different friends from a lot of different places and I'm always worried that they won't like each other. But generally they do, because mostly they are awesome!

I was also really careful to not invite those people who I don't really like, but I hang out with a lot, because they are friends of people I do like. They're feelings are probably hurt, but I don't care. Go me!

I was also really pleased with how well my apartment worked for the party - I really love the place, but I was concerned that it might not have the best flow for a lot of people. But it did. Yay!

Can you tell that I'm a worrier, yet? :silly:

So you have to come visit, so I can throw another party soon. :D

Bike ride sounds good, but I'm with you on the cold ears. Ouch! Being a couch potato sounds much more comfortable.

My weekend was WAY too busy. Had a lot of homework and didn't finish it all. But I gave it a valiant try! Got too pooped at around 4:00 yesterday and couldn't do one more thing. Couldn't even fold the laundry. Just flopped on the couch and went to sleep.

35. Oh, two colors!
:bounce: Can't wait to see the pic!

Yes, I know. And my body was happy to tell me. Harleydad had to remind me to eat and he cooked food. Guess I was on a mission. :D

No bricks since Thursday. They came on Friday, but the weather was miserable. Then it rained all day Saturday. It's not raining today, but it's probably too cold. I'd sure like to get that mess gone!

40. He does sometimes.
He actually makes the best burger around. :9

They can work when it's cold, but the mortar doesn't set up right. We have a problem with some of the mortar on one wall crumbling because the first guys put it on when it was too cold.

42. Good Morning MissHoneychurch!
:hi:  :loveya: :pals:

We have 3-4" of snow on the ground and it looks like we'll get twice that by lunch.

The car is warming up, but I'm waiting until I hear word that we'll be open today. I called the store but there was no answer.

Love the pic, and I cheated and read downthread to see where it was from.

:D

My feet are already telling me to stay inside. I hafta agree

If no one answers the chances that you stay closed are pretty good, aren't they? :D

50. Either that or
The manager will call around and tell us to head in at our own pace once he's made it in safely.

It won't make much sense to open and be unable to make deliveries.

Then again, I've seen dumber.

Just checked outside, and another half inch has already covered what were clean sidewalks 40 minutes ago.

My blanket pile is at the ready. This looks like a long, cold day.

My feet have yet to complain. ;)

Since I'm staying home, it's time for some Stephanie Miller.

Her take on CPAC should be one for the books.

What's the pic of the day?

60. Flights were cancelled
about 450 flights were cancelled yesterday. The few delays were not more than an hour. If the snow fell 12 hours later...

I remember some years ago I flew to Savannah over Atlanta (came from Dallas). There were just a few snowflakes in Atlanta. But all flights were delayed.

81. It was cold and rainey all weekend so I was lazy and stayed in
and stayed by the fire and watched it rain. I like those kinds of weekends, they are very thought provoking. I have come to believe that thinking is a lost art.
I guess you have discovered that I like to show off my pics too. :loveya:
Enjoy today, and don't worry about the work, it will keep up to 30 days without refrigeration. :)
Play pretty today .

That statue is a breakdancer? :P

My day is going well so far. I'm snowed in and that's ok until tomorrow. I did a big grocery trip in preparation for the snow, so I get to play with food.

As for the weekend.. I'm of a different school. Weekends are always tooo long. :D
