2. Depends on what you mean by hometown.
Rex Allen was born nearby and Baxter Black lives in the area now.

Then there were Geronimo and Cochise, back in the day. All the idiots in Tombstone too.

3. Not from my hometown
but very close by.

Burl Ives - he's buried near Oblong, IL. My grandfather went to his funeral.



The only famous person I can think of that visited is Marty Stewart. He was the headliner for the town's sesquicentennial.



It's a very small town, pop. 1100, not including cattle! :D
