Is anybody getting ants?
I live in New England and for the last couple of days, I've been noticing black ants in my house. It's so weird; at firxt, I thought I was hallucinating. It usually doesn't happen until the warm weather comes. Anybody else in the north having this problem?

10. Same here (S. Central PA) - the ants are a month or so off - BORIC ACID!!
And don't buy the name brand stuff. Get Boric acid at the drug store for about $2 in a large bottle.

8. They aren't really big, but they're not tiny.
They're your average=size ant.

17. Make a picnic for them of boric acid, sugar, and water
I put some of this mixture in a shallow plastic lid or two and they crowd around the little puddles feasting and carrying it away for a couple of days, then one day they appear no more!

Cold and desolate.
Actually, there have been several birds sighted. But no insects. I have to tell you though, it sure would be nice if an insect or two was found, although not in my house.
On edit- Someday I'll learn to type.

7. We had them last summer-bad.

Windex kills them on the spot but doesn't stop the flow.

We found the anthill and poured boiling water on it and ZAP they were gone. This was my wife's doing-I had tried horrific chemicals but to no avail. She nailed them. No more ants.

9. Not yet. But, LOL!
If I see one, I put out so many traps and bug spray that my friends accuse me of killing every plant and animal within a two block area!

If I ever see a mouse, or god forbid, a rat, I'll buy a bazooka.

Could I be a sissy? Yep! I have no problem with that.

12. I had them last summer.
I put some boric acid powder on the floor along my walls but they didn't stop coming in until I found the source. Right in front of my door way there was a long line of ants and it was the hill. I got so tired of these ants that I poured half a jug of bleach down the crack. And I used the rest of the boric powder and ZAPPED the suckers.

16. I found two tiny ones
yesterday on the bathroom wall near the window. That's where we get them if we're going to. It only happens about every three years or so, though, which is really strange. And it's been very cold here the past few days.

19. All the time.
Especially when it rains, we get ants in the house. Little black ones about 1/8 inch long. They are harmless, but my wife freaks out.
