1. I've had it, and I agree.
The bacon isn't nearly as good as real bacon, but the sausage is fantastic--and FAR less greasy. Yum!

3. I haven't tried the bacon yet
I've had Smart Bacon, which I accidentally burned so I can't say whether I liked it or not. :P

4. Love their black bean burgers
They don't taste in the least like meat, but they're delicious in their own way. I love them on sourdough with sharp cheddar and avocado. The 'grillers' are tasty too. But I find the tomato-basil burgers meh.

6. They are so good
:9 I agree, I don't need my veggie burgers to mimic meat if they have other flavors going on.

28. Yeah, Boca gets a little too close to ground beef all around - none of us like them.

8. I should try them. I usually buy Quorn brand faux chicken
They make great "wings" that are really good on top of salads. :9

 "How can you feed a family with a package of these and a couple dozen eggs?" :scared:

He would not be happy with these. They're little patties slightly bigger than a half dollar coin.

Edited on Sun Mar-01-09 01:51 PM by RebelOne
I buy the sausages patties and I eat two every morning. Of couse, I am also a vegetarian. But these sausages are as close to the real thing as you can get if you still crave the taste of meat.

24. I'm not a vegetarian, but
I'm eating very little meat these days. I actually never was a big fan. There were always many more foods I preferred. I absolutely can't stand the taste and consistency of chicken for some reason - I really love the veggie chicken products. I think it is just the fear of making the big change that keeps me from actually becoming vegetarian.

29. We became vegetarian 20 years ago after reading this book
http://www.amazon.com/Diet-New-America-John-Robbins/dp/0915811812/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1235934281&sr=1-1

It is written by John Robbins, the heir to Baskin-Robbins. He turned down the estate because he had become a vegan. It is about half health and nutrition based and half ethical stuff. Amazon has it for $10.85, but I never finalize an order until I've got the $25 to score the free shipping - although usually I get it within 5 days despite what they say.

21. Try the Asian flavored Patties
Mixed with some sauteed cabbage, onion and garlic then hit it with some light soy and Sri Racha and you'll swear you're eating an eggroll. They're my very favorite

Last time I had veggie sausage I almost threw up right there. Veggie meat always tastes like vomit to me.
