Brag brag brag -- I got digital cable TV installed today..
to go along with Digital Phone and cable internet. Package deal $105 a month and includes HBO.

The best part is that now my TV in the living room gets channels it didn't before (that I could get on the bedroom set). Now I can watch Animal Planet and DU at the same time. Life is sweet.

1. you're a little slow on the curve there
;-) Had it for 3 years in Seattle, and have it here in Flag... about damn time you joined us in this century. :D

I don't do the internet through them though, got DSL through a local ISP with Qwest access.

Hope you enjoy it! The reminders are a great feature, when you get senile like me. :hi:

3. I've had cable internet for about a year and it's awesome..
the digital tv is new -- and the phone.

I wanted to dump Qwest. I hate Qwest.... and now I'm free of them.

I'm watching "Road to Perdition" right now on HBO. My butt is just gonna get bigger with this new arrangement, I just know it.

6. Qwest is pure evil
Edited on Sat Mar-06-04 11:16 PM by ZombyWoof
The worst. Unfortunately, for DSL access, we have no choice up here, but at least we can choose our own ISP, and they won't get that money out of me.

We have CableVision for digital cable, and they charge too much, but we do get a fair number of channels.

Never saw Road to Perdition.. hope you enjoy it! :-)

9. Oh yeah.... it's my season.
My whole family is nuts about baseball and several cousins will be down for spring training. They're Mariners fan like you...

10. I am a fan of both!
My Dad lived in Chicago back in the early 80's, and I spent time there visiting, seeing my first game at Wrigley in '83. Been a fan ever since, and you can believe I wailed and moaned during the playoff collapse last fall.

Became a Mariners fan when I moved to Seattle in '88, so I was broken in for a lifetime of baseball heartbreak early. :-)

So my NL team is the Cubs, and my AL team is the Mariners. I can get along with you and your family. ;-)

8. We can't record on one station and watch another
with the current offering of digital where I live. They admitted that programming the VCR is pointless except for time to run. It will only record where the station is showing, and no, we don't have the cables mixed up (they know it's a problem). I might take it later after they fix this snafu.

11. No DSL available here but
I've been seriously considering cable internet access. Between my monthly phone line bill and IP subscription, I'd break out about even. Is there any downside to cable internet?

12. it can go out like cable TV
But so can DSL, so there is no perfect system. Either way, you'll be glad you ditched dial-up.
