The anti-vaccine nuts saying I'm poisoned are pissing me off.
I don't even dare click on those threads anymore. I'm sick of being called a Big Pharma shill when I say my Asperger's Syndrome is not a "disease" that neds to be "cured".

:argh:

2. K and R
A number of my family and several friends are "on the spectrum". I have no idea why we insist on telling them they are defective. That's just plain offensive.

5. Honestly, those posts are the worst.
I really don't think they understand how ridiculous and hurtful that stuff really is. Not to mention dangerous - measles are not to be messed around with.

11. The pro-vaccine bullies aren't arguing from 'belief'
They're arguing from hard, verified science. In contrast, the anti-vaxers are arguing from pure faith contrary to all observable evidence.

And TZ is right on the money when she complains about being called a Shill, etc. Or my other favorite is "scientific dogmatist" or "scientific fundy."

The more evidence we find that Thimerosal has no causative link to Autism, the more stridently the anti-vaxers believe in the link.

13. You exactly proved my point.
"believing what you want" is resulting in kids not getting properly vaccinated and in autistics suffering, even DYING from sham "therapies". Jenny McCarthy, David Kirby, Andrew Wakefield and company should be in jail for their BS.

12. They are the sort that ignore all evidence to the contrary of their little pet theory.
I liken them to creationists. It may help to think of them that way. There is literally no arguing with people like that. Or do what I do, call them "Pro-infectious disease". Because that is what they are.
