I hope she does. After 28 years, I can't say that I miss her, but I sure would like to hear from her.

Funny thing is, we went to HS in Huntington Beach, CA . . . and it says she is in Washington, DC. Well, so am I. We haven't had any contact since 1981. Weird.

Psst... c'mere... wanna know something? I had the worst crush on her...

1. I'll cross my fingers for ya.
I found my best buddy from college via Switchboard.com, sent her a letter and my email address and we've been in touch ever since.

2. It would be cool if you can get back in touch
and be friends again after all these years. :)

If I suddenly ran into my friends from High School I would be meeting complete strangers. I've changed so incredibly much that there is nothing left that they'd recognize, so I don't know if I'd relate to anything in them that I might still recognize.

3. Whatever you do....
...make sure that any reunion (if one happens) is kept to one day. Last summer, my best friend and I were contacted by an old college roommate from 30 years ago who wanted to get together. We all gathered at my house for a long weekend, and it was pretty painful. We ran out of conversation with her after the first day of catch-up -- and the next two days we just spent trying to fill the time with sightseeing. We literally had almost nothing in common with her anymore, most notably including her politics.

If it had just been that one day, the first day, it would have probably been OK.

4. UPDATE
She replied and I couldn't be happier. She's not actually in DC; I really do think I saw that, but no matter. She's near Philly.

Here's to being in touch with old friends. :toast:

5. Good deal, BV
I'm glad something is working out for somebody on here. It seems like it's all gloom and doom now days and I have contributed my fair share of it.

6. Ah, Droopy.
I wish I could do something for you. I don't offer chipper advice because I've been offered same many times and have almost broken as many noses. Besides, it's condescending crap.

I offer you a hug and good vibes.

9. Oh, christ, no. I've BEEN stalked.
I'd never do that to another person.

Oh. You were kidding.

10. Don't get me wrong, I like to cuddle.
But there is such a fine line between cuddling and holding someone down so that they can't get away.
