2. I did too...s'been awhile since I read those though....
....I've enjoyed several of his other books that aren't sci-fi....they're supposed to be making a movie out of Illium/Olympos but it's been 5 years and still no movie...I'd imagine it'd be a trip if the effort ever becomes a reality. :hi:

5. I just started Illium. The Hyperion series is one of my all-time favorites.
Simmons is outstanding.

9. I hope he writes another one....his website mentions the hopes of another book....
...by fans...that continues with Achilles and his Amazon Queen...and Deamon's nemisis is still around too....have to wait and see?! :shrug:

11. Welcome to DU...

....highly recommend findin' the time...I haven't been disappointed and have yet to read Summer of Night and A Winter Haunting...it's sequel...unfortunately my local library only has the second book and I've been told the first one is the best of the two.

18. Summer of Night is really good. It's the book that got me hooked on Simmons.
The sequel was disappointing.

16. I'm not a big fan of his sci fi stuff.
I liked Hyperion, but the sequels just didn't go anywhere.

His horror stuff is great.

19. I haven't read the last two Endymion books....
....I plan to eventually. :) I've read The Hollow Man...Children of the Night and Darwin's Blade....enjoyed them all.
