In Pittsburgh, anyway. I just came back from the grocery store and the place was packed with people desperately buying snack food. Much busier than right before Christmas or Thanksgiving.
NYD is a bigger football day in my opinion. Thanksgiving is the runner-up.
Here on the left coast, the first game started at 8 AM game (for the Tylenol and Alka-Seltzer crowd) followed by two late morning games (Gator and Capital One) followed by the Rose Bowl at 1:30 and then finishing with the Orange Bowl at 5:30. That's over twelve hours of football and they're spread out so they don't really conflict with each other.
