My five year old son and I are having a "guys' night", tonight...
My wife and my daughter are going to a "Mother/Daughter Princess Ball" at my daughter's school, so my son and I are hanging out.

I just got a call from my wife and she said my son is planning our whole evening. We are going to In-n-Out Burger for dinner, and then we are going home and playing Legos -- and then, maybe some coloring in his coloring books.

I love my kids...

1. OMG that is adorable
My son is 5 too, and that sounds like his kind of par-tay.

When MG Jr. was 3, he was a mama's boy, and it kind of bothered Mr. MG. But one of my friends whose kids are grown said, "Don't worry. The boys go through a phase where it's all mama, all the time, and then they shift, and they have to hang with daddy." I'm glad she said that, so I knew what to expect. Now Jr. is joined at the hip to dad, especially over video games and Legos.

Enjoy your guys' night! :hi:

2. chris rock is right
"it's always about mama. even in the music, with songs like, i love my mama, my mama this, my mama that. know what the daddy song is? PAPA WAS A ROLLING STONE!"

well it's funnier when he says it.

3. the last guys night i had with my dad consisted of
famous dave's for lunch, and all three LotR movies back to back to back.

i had mercy on him, we watched his non-extended versions...

12. Sounds like something my five-year-old would do.
Except he would add "Watch Star Wars" somewhere in there.
Fun stuff!
