In About 45 Minutes I'll Be Taking The Test To Be On Jeopardy

You have to do it before 8 p.m. if you live on the east coast, though.

Anyone ever taken this? How hard is it?

Anyone got any tips for passing it?





I remember some DUer being on Jeopardy a while ago. I forget who it was though.

1. There are several. Two that I can recall..

Both did well, though ID made it onto the Tourny of Champs and damn near won that!

I only played the one game, and came in second place. I guess by now you've taken the exam, so I can't give you any tips. There really aren't any anyway. Just have a good head for lots of general knowledge subjects. How does the online process work? When I did it, you called a 1-800 number to request a slot in the local audition (usually held in the conference room of a local hotel). Then they administered the written exam, with questions offered by Alex Trebek on a video recording. Then the people who passed the written exam got to play mock games to see how you played the game for real. They are looking for people who keep the game moving, and have an appealing personality. People who lag behind, or are indecisive (I'll take...ummm, uh...ooooooh, "Shakespeare" for...uh...ummmm, oh, I don't know...500, please) probably won't be selected.

5. i just completed it

50 questions. Some were easy, some were hard, some were flat-out impossible.

I got tripped up on some of the literary questions. I'm not a big reader, so famous authors and literary characters really tripped me up.

I must have passed on about 10 questions.

If I had to guess, I'd say I got maybe 35 out of 50 correct.



I feel so dumb. :(
