Anyone have any wisdom to share Re: infected nose piercing?
x(

I've had my nose pierced for almost 2 years. Yesterday it started getting infected. :wtf: I've been swabbing it with salt water, and putting tea tree oil on it. Yesterday I was running a mild fever. This morning when I woke up I found that the jewelry is embedded in my nose to where it can't be seen - I cleaned it again with salt water, used anti-bacterial soap on it in the shower, and put more tea tree oil on it.

I'm afraid if it swells up any more it will be even MORE of a problem than it is currently.

1. Get thee to a doctor...you don't want to mess around with infections,
especially in the head area.

2. Doctor - seriously
You may have to take the earring out and let it heal over.

4. Working on that now.
Taking it out is BAD though. For 2 reasons - one important, and one superficial. Important = if it's taken out the outsides will heal over and the middle will abscess. Leaving the jewelry in allows it to drain without abscessing. Superficial = if I take it out it's GONE.

7. I'm reiterating what others have said. Get thee to a doctor, post haste
If the doctor can't see you, get to an Urgent Care Center, pronto.

Hope you're on the mend, soon.
