My writing class is going to drive me to therapy...
Seriously. If i have to dredge up one more anecdote or episode from my f-ed up childhood, i'm gonna need to write it from the therapist's couch.

1. lol!
I'll never forget the one creative writing course I took. It was a summer course, and short, but one guy really shocked the class. We were sitting in a circle, and he read, out-loud, his explicit description of meeting a girl on a beach. It was very graphic. The Professor never asked him to share his stories to the whole class, out-loud, again! lol

2. Our prof asked us to keep it to no more than an R rating...
She's the wife of one of my other English profs, and is pretty cool, but she did remind the class not to write about "illegal activities", nor to write anything explicit enough for Penthouse Forum. *L*

3. See, the way I'd handle it, is to just come up with stories rather than drudge up stuff that made me
feel bad from my real life, or take the real life stuff and add a little historical revisionism so to speak. The whole point is to be a good writer, not tear yourself up. Seriously, if it makes you feel that badly, put that idea away until you're ready to face it. The whole point of the class is to refine your skill, not put out an autobiography right?

4. I suppose... but i suck at fiction. *L*
The first 1/3 of the class is non-fiction writing... the second third will be fiction... the third poetry.

I just have issues when it comes to my parents and sibs... t'was not a pretty thing in my growning-up world.

5. Trust me, I know where you're coming from, I really do. Like I was saying though, maybe take the
truth and pump it up with how you wish that particular scenario had played out and just write like it did happen that way. Not exactly fiction writing, but not exactly non-fiction either.
