From the movie of the same name.

12. me too
I saw him in 1977 ... I loved the movie as a kid, and the play as a (young) adult. Very fortunate, my dad knew someone in NYC who got us tickets in advance of our trip. I remember for a few minutes after we arrived at the hotel, the sick feeling in the pit of my stomach :scared: as my parents argued over "you had the tickets" "well, they're not here now" ... we thought the play tickets were left behind but YAY! mom found them in a suitcase pocket. :bounce:

5. you should check out Zomby Prom
It is a show a friend of mine wrote which ended up off broadway after he opened it in Florida. Many of my friends were in the oringinal production in Ft Lauderdale. If you like Rocky Horror, you might like Zomby Prom.

8. I'll try to
But the odds of me seeing something like that here in Indiana is pretty damn slim. And I've never been to NY. Although, I'm hoping to protest the GOP convention. Is it still playing there?

13. gotta love those Pontapee brothers!
I love that movie ... where'd you find the photos? I developed a huge crush on Howard Keel and Russ Tamblyn from that movie. Do you know which brother was played by Jacques Damboise?

18. I think D'Amboise was Ephraim.
And I concur with the choice of the barn-raising dance as the best movie musical dance number. It's something I could watch every day.

11. GREATEST EVER DANCE NUMBER IN A MUSICAL?
From REEL CLASSICS....

the Oscar-winning Best Song of 1934, "The Continental," which is the subject of an incredible twenty-two-minute production number featuring an enormous chorus dressed in black and white to contrast with the huge, white outdoor-ballroom set (complete with revolving doors). It earned the film an Oscar nomination for Best Art Direction, and the film's other three nominations included one for Best Picture...

Ginger, Fred and the chorus dance to the Academy Award-winning Best Song of 1934, Con Conrad and Herb Magidson's "The Continental." Beautiful music... Dangerous rhythm...
