3. I just spent a week and a half talking about gastric cancer
with doctors.

Evidently, there aren't any symptoms early on, and then you get stomach pain, bloating and early satiety (which are also signs of gatrparesis), so they usually don't usually send patients for endoscopy and diagnosis until they're in the later, metastatic phases.

So don't worry - if you have it, you won't know until it's too late.

10. I think you should just go to the doctor
As much as I hate doctors, it is better than worrying about the situation...

it might actually make things worse to worry. You might have an ulcer!

23. Congratulations!
I've been ill every morning for about a month now

Now I'm getting dizzy and headaches as well

When exactly was your last menstrual period, and have you thought of any names?

Seriously, maybe you've just worried yourself into an ulcer (early morning, it would be empty save for acids) and have been oozing enough blood to make yourself anemic. If so, they'll put you on double-dose PPIs for a while and you'll be fine. Hooray for not being a typical man and trying to ignore a problem away.

My mom actually had gastric cancer and had no symptoms until she nearly bled to death. These tend to grow so slowly that you can actually have a tumor for over 20 years without knowing it, and the biggest predisposition is a diet high in pickled foods. Asians have more gastric cancer than anyone, which bears this out. No, we're not Asian, so I don't know what her excuse was. (She's fine, BTW--over 6 years post partial gastrectomy.)

More trivia: A brain tumor will not metastasize outside the nervous system, though other cancers may metastasize to the brain, so the chances of having brain and stomach cancers simultaneously aren't too great.

31. Glad to hear its nothing worse than that, not that the stomach lining being shot is good...
reflux is a weird one; about a year and a half ago I had four of the five top symptoms of throat cancer....you guessed it, reflux. But had to give up ( still hoping its only temporarily) all spicy food, including of course, Mexican ( or more correctly here , NEW Mexican--there IS a difference) which for me was like a junkie giving up dope, but a small price to pay for it not being throat cancer. So take care of that reflux however you have to, and again, I'm so glad to hear its just that.

21. If it makes you feel any better
I get ill alot in the morning and suffer from headaches and dizziness..For me the stomach upset is stress related and the headaches and dizziness related to a chronic blood condition. headaches and dizziness are often associated with high blood pressure. And the stomach ache could be a helicobacter infection (thats the bacteria that causes ulcers). Both are easily correctible.
I wouldn't worry. but do .go to your doc and have it checked out. I get all sorts of weird symptoms and still generally function pretty well..:hi:

22. I think some signs of a brain tumor are focusing on someones post
and deciding that this person, for whatever reason, is your mortal enemy....and following that person around on a board and commenting on their thread responses even though their response has nothing to do with them, but the OP.

That's quite possibly the first warning sign of a brain tumor.....

Stomach cancer is what you wish on that particular individual who proceeds to stalk you on an internet message board..

26. The first symptom I had with my stomach cancer was the discovery that....
I could only roll in one direction when I slept. I could only roll to my right. When I rolled to my left, I created a searing pains that woke me.

It took months to discover that little fact, that, and the loss of over sixty pounds.
