Whats causing my icemaker to be all funky? stinks
the ice smells like potato

1. Is the water filtered?
Dump the ice and start over. See if it was just some random funky water.

3. You'll have to google for more advice, but bacteria might still grow in the icemaker
and freezer. You may need to clean them every now and then.

(Remembering a post here, about a kid's science project, comparing the germ count in the toilet water of local restaurants to the germ count in their ice dispensers- Guess which was higher? Yep.).

And I didn't change my forum name to Captain Obvious, so no "Potato" jokes shall be forthcoming. They're just that not a'peeling.
