Not changing your name? Who are you and why not?
I really can't think of another sobriquet that more accurately describes my own peculiar oeuvre.

I am the once and continuing MrScorpio.

Not that I'm suggesting a name change but your name always made me think of that whenever I see it. Being left handed, I find myself reminding right handed conservative friends of this point every now and then.

24. Not gonna do it-wouldn't be prudent*
Edited on Thu Jan-22-09 01:24 AM by chknltl
The name chknltl fits. I am a true Chicken Little in that I have a knack for being an alarmist. IMO things I find alarming need to be talked about and so far I've had no problems doing just that!
For example: Depleted Uranium poisoning is one topic I discuss with strangers regularly-especially with mothers who have kids who are about to turn 18. I am fond of military service but until Depleted Uranium is cleaned up in areas our lads and lasses in the military trek through, I STRONGLY advise mothers against letting their loved joining the Army or Marines. I get 'vocally opinionated'-(read that as 'damned agitated') on other little discussed topics as well so the name truly fits me.

(* I forget the name of the SNL guy who once played Bush-1 but he used to say that line.)
edited to add: I am glad that you are not changin' yer name either MrScorpio, it's one of the one's I like.

I am proud of that work, as it laid the groundwork for the red states that went blue for Obama.

79. I'm Blue_in_AK, and I'm not changing my name
because I'm still a Democrat, it's still cold, and I'm still in Alaska. Besides, it's the name I use everywhere else.

81. Trying to think of another name would probably cause my brain to hurt.
Too much pressure. Who needs it?

82. Not changing my username.
I could change my name to luv_mykat, since I had to have one of my beloved kittehs put to sleep last month,, but I still have one left to love...and I don't feel like messing with changing it.

Also, although I have lurked on DU for quite a number of years, I don't have very many posts and don't want to start over again. Long ago, before the '04 theft of the election, I was kind of scared off by the flame wars. Thought of joining, but kept putting it off because some of the flaming was pretty bad.

If I was to change it, I think I would make it something like- SpendstoomuchtimeonDU!

83. astral was my online name in DOS days.
To tell you the truth, I was suprised to find it available when I signed up.

My very first made-up name, actually.

No I lie! My fading memory just corrected itself. SOMEONE ELSE had that name in DOS days and I happened to like it. Now, what my name really was I honestly can't rememember.

Too funny!

I am not crazy about all the name-changing going on, myself, but I guess if people wanna do it what the hey~!

85. I live to make others question the path that they're on...
even if they agree with me, I question their belief; so that their faith will be honed against the strongest stone. I am the jester that asks the needed questions. I test the faith of friend and foe. I am the forward hand of the grand inquisitor. My name must be Coyote's Paw.

86. "Dallas" was already taken, so I used my local airport code
My other airport code is "DUS," and almost no one has heard of that,
so I'm sticking with DFW.
