Do You Include All of Your Temp Jobs on Your Resume
My recruiter, who placed me in a 90-day temp job last year, e-mailed me asking why I didn't it include it in my new updated resume. My general rule is that I do not include short term temp assignments on my resume.

Also, I took the temp job because I was working for a start-up for no pay, and the start-up was still not ready to go yet. So, I included the time that I was working for the start-up, not the temp job.

What say you?

1. No, I never have.
I would taylor the resume to what kind of job I was looking for. Any "discrepancies" in my work history I put a kind of placeholder, such as in my case "Temporary Career Change" and years doing so. You might do the same for the temp jobs, just say you were working so it's not questioned and held against you. Seems like there's a way of saying something like that but that further details are available upon request, or that kind of thing.

If I included all the jobs I've had in the last 30 years, my resume would be twenty pages long! ;)

See if your recruiter has any tips on how to include such info in the future.

6. That is such a great idea
I was wondering what I should do with the seasonal jobs I have done.

2. If it was 2 weeks, no I wouldn't
As a biologist, if I only put jobs that were longer than 90 days, my resume would be MUCH shorter. :P

3. I put down the agency I worked for for short term jobs.
But when I worked at City Bank for a few months I put it down even though it was through an agency. When I listed the agency I just put down the types of work I did. Those were the days in Los Angeles. If I didn't like a job I just quit and worked temp until I got a job. Can't do that now.

4. I do mostly contract work
so my resume is made up of mostly short assignments. If its 3 weeks or less, I don't put it on. A month or longer, it goes on. In general, you're going to get asked about "gaps" in your employment, so putting the short assignments on makes that go more smoothly.

5. No.
Not unless it gave you important experience for the job you're applying for.

7. And That's What I Do
I took this temporary job just to tied me over until the start up was ready to get off the ground.
