When the roads are icy, stay the fuck home.
You wouldn't believe how many morans I saw when I was driving back from the mountains today.

Don't people have access to TV, radio, the Internet, & common sense?

The forecasts and warnings were clear: Don't drive.

Maybe drive if you need to go to the ER but otherwise you'll end up in the ER, or worse.

Whatever happened to being content where you are?

Do we always need to be somewhere else?

:grr: :grr: :grr:

1. Well, many people are content to stay where they are at...
then the job gets offshored.

3. I went to a small party last night across town at a friends' apt.
Just a couple of us getting together one last time before the semester starts and we won't have time for it anymore.

... ended up coming home about 7 in the morning, because I just didn't feel safe driving until the snowplows had gotten the main roads.

4. There will be plenty of tough-asses with four wheel drive out there
even with 2 inches of ice on the road...they'll drive with chains on their tires....

What the frigging morans don't realize is that chains on tires will NOT improve traction on ice and you still slide!

And yes...frigging people ALWAYS have to be somewhere else doing this and that...why do you think I complain about them as much as I do?

13. disability? Why is my having a job
that requires me to be there a disability?

and FYI I held a CDL for 26 years and I have driven in all kinds of weather. I do agree that if it's not necessary to drive in bad weather folks should stay home.

were you trying to be sarcastic?

And it's a truly tragic disability to feel the need to insult people as a form of entertainment...and to somehow think it's supposed to be funny.

25. Well, I am not sure of everyone's situation
But back when I lived in Minnesota, and the roads were icy, most of the work places were still open, so if I wanted to get paid, I had to show up for work. So yes, people are compelled to leave the house, even when it is icy.

i always get a kick out of the people in warm climates who can't do anything but spin their wheels when there's an inch of snow on the ground.
