it was probably just an odd attempt at a compliment.

Seriously, it's tough for us guys: we can't say "nice tits!" or "great ass!", complimenting smiles makes it sound like we just want to be friends, mentioning a positive personality is code for ugly, and eye-related compliments are both overused and make us sound like uber-saps. So, what else is left? :shrug:
