1. Wow it's the same thing where I am!

Going to the gym this morning was fun. I usually run Saturday morning, I'm not sure if that's going to work out for me tomorrow. I do have a ski mask for this kind of weather though, I just need to find it.

4. 8 below without wind
that is why I am staying home today.

I would rather be flamed (that wouuld be warm) for being a wimp than go outside any more than absolutely necessary.

19. I really don't know.....
I don't remember them being here this time last year....but I saw them in March/April, without the black tips. Does that sound right? Do they lose the black feathers between winter and spring?

And oh - they're REALLY doing a number on our cars, if you catch my drift. :puke:

Good thing they're beautiful birds.

12. -6 wind chill -20.....it's supposed to warm up to.....18 above zero today YEAH!!!
I highly doubt it will get to that, I have come to the conclusion the weatherman is just telling us that it's going to get above zero just to lift our spirits and give us hope, if it does get above zero, it will be picnic weather

18. -15, windchill -36
The record cold for us was -20 and that was in 1984. It sure hasn't been this cold in years.

Stay warm everyone! We're having to use supplemental heat, our old boiler is having a hard time keeping up with the demand.

They won't come inside, those furry little ferals! We do have small shelters for them out of the wind (heated with the warmth of a 60-watt light bulb). Kind of like an Easy-Bake oven!
