And Hitchens is most certainly a pompous ass, and if he weren't so darned sonorous no one would give him three minutes of airtime.

3. I like the guy, ever since I saw him beat Bea Buchannan around like a Bobo doll

for defending John McCain as a presidential candidate. Yes, Christopher Hitchens has flaws, but the guy is literate, educated, eloquent, witty like the tip of a whip, and I'm glad he's here on this planet at this moment in history. We need him.

4. I've tried to like him over the years but as soon as I think he's ok he just

annoys the hell out of me all over again. Like his "women aren't funny" article. That pissed me off. I'm sure I'll try to like him again soon, and I'm sure he'll piss me off again just as I was about to come around. Oh well.
