1. You have my sympathy
Migraines are the worst.

Now go lie down in a dark room and moan softly.

3. if you get nauseated too...
next time you go to the doctor, ask her/him for phenergan. I always get nauseous with my migraines so I take half a phenergan and it takes care of the nausea AND knocks me out. When you wake up, you'll be good to go again.

4. Thanks for the tip. I'm fortunate that these, as uncomfortable as they are, are mild compared to
many. It's always my right temple. Happens once a month. Lasts 3 days.

7. Empathetic, to say the least.

My entire family suffers migraine. Thankfully, Imitrex has helped most of us, but it's too expensive and I no longer get it.

My emergency migraine cure (and I don't recommend this):

Two Excedrin
200 mgs. caffeine (tablet)
200 mgs. Niacin (the kind that makes you flush, not the slow-release)
120 mgs Ginkoba

ON EDIT: Forgot Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) 200 mg.

Followed by:

Yoga (including many inversions) and then weight lifting.

If that doesn't work, go back to bed.

11. Seriously, I hope you feel better. Have you tried any of the new
tryptan drugs?

I know from my sisters' experiences how horrible migraines can be, the the point of having to be hospitalized.

Be well.

12. Oh thank you. Actually, I just grit through it. Mine are bad but nothing compared to others. It's
hormonal.
