A Question (Or Two) About Wedding Vows...
Does anyone still use the "honor and obey" line anymore?

Which is correct: "until death DO US part" or "until death US DO part"?

4. I don't think we had either of those lines
Something about life long and blah blah, and committment and yadda yadda. I wasn't really listening.

5. I made sure the "obey" part wasn't in there...
My hubby's of the sick and twisted sort that he would have taken advantage of that.

And I think it's "until death do us part," but now that you've mentioned it, I'm really not sure.

6. Well...
On the first one, we didn't...and the ONLY way we actually ever WOULD have said it would've been if BOTH of us said it...to each other!

On the second one, it's actually "'Till death us do part". :D

B-)

10. Geez, I have no idea what our vows were
we were married in Vegas, and I think the guy who married us also did Elvis weddings. We didn't pay for the Elvis wedding (it's $75 extra!), but he kept slipping into that voice, so I was having the hardest time not falling on the floor laughing during the whole thing. I may have agreed to buy a condominium, I don't know.

12. Ever think about it.....
"until death DO US part" was written when people lived till about 40 years old.

13. I never obeyed
but I'm not married anymore, either. ;-)

I think "until death DO US part" is American. "... US DO part" is british.

Are you guys thinking of getting hitched?
