Ready for Snow Storm fun? We are in the Western PA area and are
expected to get a total of 8-12 inches by Saturday evening.

My wife's job let out at it's regular time 9pm and as she was coming home she spun twice in the car. No accidents. We have a band coming thru and we have had a steady light/mist type fall since 5:30pm.

They told my wife and everyone else that they will be open no matter what the weather.

Because of the project my wife is working on she now needs a drug test which they want done tomorrow even though we are supposed to have the heaviest snowfall in the day Saturday. I'm not letting her go in.

She's afraid of getting fired... Right now I want my wife alive and safe.

any suggestions?

Am I being paranoid?

1. Where's the drug test? How far is it from your house?

3. The lab is about 4 or 5 miles away. BUT we are in a valley and
she would have to to up a STEEP hill to get there. We are surrounded by hills. The work place is about 1/2 mile way maybe a full mile but it is comming down steady now and although it is light it is steady and I would not be surprise if we don't have 4 to 5 inches before this 6-10 is suppose to start.

2. Call the lab in the morning
If the techs can't get there, your wife can't get there.

and/or tell them your car ended up in a ditch, and you will have to re-schedule, or some other plausible lie.

Note: I live in the DC suburbs in Maryland, and we have had no snow this entire winter. How much do you have on the ground?

5. Right now we I would say a good 1/2 inches. and they are expecting
at least 4 inches before day break and between 6-10 inches during the day.

7. You folks in the northern counties got blanketed!
I'm in southern Westmoreland Co. and we only got rain! It was 37-40 degrees here!

Stay safe and stay warm.

8. Hey there neighbor!
:hi:

I'm in Washington County. We not next to nothing over here--a bit of snow, a bit of slush, a nice foggy drizzle. My mother in Cranberry said she got five inches, though.

9. Hey hey!
Always great to meet a neighbor. There are quite few western PA DUers I think, especially from around Pittsburgh.

:hi: back

10. Meh. SE PA never gets snow anymore.
I've pretty much given up on ever getting any kind of significant snowfall ever again.
