I'm running on caffiene and willpower.
Last night the flashbacks saw to it that I only got 2 hours of sleep. Right now, I'm running on Coffee, Penguin Caffeinated Peppermints, and sheer willpower.

I don't know how much more I can take of this.

On a brighter note, I managed to grab a tasty bagel at a local bagel shop to nosh on. For some reason, that bagel made me feel a little better.

1. Here's a hug
 Does your doc know you're using a lot of caffiene? (Have been where you are)

No I ussally only have one cup of coffee in the morning and lots of diet cola on the weekends. I always carry a tim of Penguin mints on me, just in case.

3. You may want to mention it.
If the doc knows you're self-medicating w/ caffiene, s/he may be able to help you in a different way. Just a suggestion. You'll be in my thoughts.

4. What?
You think that this might have something to do with what I'm going through?

6. I couldn't tell you that, but
I know what caffiene can do to the brain and body. It's a stimulant and too much can totally whack the brain -- in me, it's like it fries my nerve endings. Also it raises the blood pressure, and that can cause a host of health problems.

Christ, I hope I haven't worried you. This is my own experience. YMMV.

7. Intense, unfocused rage, and adrenaline
Makes for an excellent cardio workout on the elliptical machine.

I crank up the resistance to a nearly intolerable level, crank up the angry music and crank up the rage: I imagine pounding the shit out of all the jackasses that day until my knuckles are bloody and raw.

9. Caffeine + No Sleep = Hallucinations
If it's only been after a night of poor sleep, it's not likely to screw you up, but that's not a real good combo if you're having flashbacks from anything.

I don't know your story -- are these post-psychedelic flashbacks, or PTSD flashbacks?

Yep, food will help you, especially "comfort food". But if you need to see a doctor or something, don't put it off!

Good luck ... bon appetit and sleep well!
