I'll buy that.

WYWH is my fav Pink Floyd album, and SOYCD is the biggest reason for that.

2. well, after the magnificent start to the album, I felt they kinda ran out of ideas

for the outro / last couple parts of SOYCD Pts 6-9 at the end of the album.

imgine what they might have done if their compositions weren't constrained by the time / sides limits of vinyl albums.

or the Rite of Spring.

To me, it's always sounded like they cribbed a bunch of stuff from Terry Riley's "A Rainbow in Curved Air" for the instrumentals, so you may like this: (incomplete, but does fit pretty well with the 2001 sequence whoever made the video used.)
