Should I be concerned? My son's elementary school principal...
dresses exactly like Grover Dill. EXACTLY. I wish I had a photo, but it would be tough--I don't have a telephoto lens to get a shot from my car or anything.

Anyway, he greets kids at the front door of the school wearing a Grover Dill outfit--short jacket (although his is black or navy blue) and floppy cap. He's also short like Scott Farkus' henchman. Will he beat my kid up in the alley after school?
:scared:

1. So he looks like Angus Young of AC/DC?

2. Okay, now I'm doubly upset!

Nah, I don't think he looks quite like Angus. He looks like a school principal--50ish, balding, with a cheesy little mustache. But the clothes...they give me bad flashbacks to the bullying scenes.

4. I don't even know who Grover Dil or Scott Farkus are, for what it's worth.
I suspect your concern is unwarranted. :P

6. You know, I waffled over how much backstory to provide
He's a character in A Christmas Story. I figured since it was one of teh Lounge's most sacred films, I'd skip the expository prose. SURE, Shine, go ahead and screw up my assumptions and destroy my comfy inner world!

7. You would think, right?
But it's all in good fun until it's your own kid who has to be turned over to Grover Dill every morning!

9. Yup, that would send up a few red flags for me too.
Come on MorningGlow, the guy is 50ish? Your kid could out run him no sweat.

17. It was Grover Dill who had green teeth
(Oh dear now I have to get a closer look at Jr's principal!) Scut Farkus had yellow eyes. "So help me God! Yellow eyes!"

21. No worries here!
ITA about the fatigue and craziness. And--gah--taxes...damn, I have to collect our receipts and do the spreadsheet of our utilities (both Mr. MG and I do home-based freelancing). x( I think I'd rather watch a good movie instead!

That casting call must've been a hoot. "Get me a kid who looks like a wolf." Scary thing is, they found one!
