I own a percentage of the company.

They are in hard times.

I'm a web designer. They are an Engineering Company.

They are hiring Engineers, I have worked for them on the side for an agreed time allotment of ten hours a week.

They want to redesign their entire website for the same rate and can't abide by the time schedule. I have offered to give them some "free" time but they say it isn't in their budget and hint at going somewhere else (at many times my cost).

So, I'll most likely do it.

It sucks.

You have the bargaining power here, considering you own a percentage of the company, and you have the technical skills.

You could always call their bluff.
