After going through a whole bag of pistachios..
There were only about 10 I could actually just open with my fingers. I need to buy a damn nutcracker now.

It would have been funny watching me go through all those pistachios and cursing when I couldn't open them.

2. If they are available in your area,
get yourself a package of "Everybody's Nuts" pistachios. They are guaranteed to be open. (They are yoummy, too.) We get them alot and they are always open, every one in the pack.

3. You have to work for your meal!
Have you ever noticed that the tastiest foods require the most work? (Lobster, pistachios, and the like.)

5. Yep. And the ones that aren't even cracked are often rotted or dried out anyway.
Don't know why that is. I'm just glad they stopped coating them with that nasty red dye.

9. Setton Farms, "Naturally Opened".
These are premium California roasted and salted or unsalted. I don't know their secret but I have gone through many bags and have never come across even one nut that was not open.

Remember that awful red dye that never came off of your fingers? I'm glad they stopped doing that.
