Avatar question
I found an image for an avatar. Used MS Paint to reduce it to the appropriate size. But now it looks all "bit-mappy"! How can I avoid this? Everyone else's looks so crisp and clear.

Use irfanview to resize and save images in any format much more neatly...

Oops, forgot link: http://www.irfanview.com

Otherwise search using this link:

2. Or if you have 1337 5k1llz
then you can try The Gimp:

http://www.gimp.org/

It's a little harder to install and use, but it's real good for squeezing the maximum resolution possible out of that 1k limit
