1. Damn... that's heartbreaking.
A kid, a sudden seizure, and he's gone. :(

I feel bad for that family, Scientology crap aside.

3. So sad.
I guess it's a reminded of how any of us could die at any moment.

Live every moment as your last, I suppose.

27. My mother has buried two, so far.
Both of heart attacks.

And the youngest just had a close call with tongue cancer.

But none as young as 16.

11. Especially the mom and dad.
I just can't imagine. You are supposed to die before your children. You just are.

I have lost a sibling and it was tough. He was only 24 and I was 18. But what my parents went through (especially mom) was almost as tough on me as the actual death of my brother.

32. My mom buried two in less than a year
One committed suicide (July 2001) and the other died of a heart attack (May 2002). I don't think it matters that they were adults, parents are not supposed to bury children.

Three months after my brother died of a heart attack, my mom found her husband dead of a heart attack (August 2002).

My parents did it for me and my other brother. We have never been the same though. Life can be so damn cruel sometimes.

30. My husband's sister died when he was very young.
They had five other kids in the family, so they had to keep functioning.

That was more than 40 years ago, and his mom still cries about the lost daughter.

22. THAT'S THE DAMN TRUTH (sorry for the caps)
In my family we have lost 2 children. Both were complete opposites in every way, yet the pain is still nightmarish.

Eighteen months ago I lost my 17 year old niece to illnesses she had for seven months. She was a month shy of her 18th birthday.

My nephew was 18 months old when he died suddenly. That was almost 20 years ago, but it sure doesn't feel like it was that long.

Other than the number 18, the kicker here is that they both died in the same week of the year, which is mid-May.

24. Very sad. I have a lot of fondness for Travolta, even if he's an insane batshit scientologist.
He's a genuinely likeable and kind guy, and I imagine that he was a very good and "in person" kind of father, even given the oddness of his career.

Poor family. How tragic.

26. Definitely.
I don't really much care for his acting, but he always seems to project a decent persona. I am also guessing that he is a "hands on" kind of dad. I think if anything like this happened to either of my children I would be devastated.
