21. because they are the Steelers!

and it looks like Ben "only" has a concussion. Not as bad as when he was hit on his motorcycle. :( Our back-up guy did really well, personally, I think Tomlin could have had Ben sit the game out....

12. OK, I picked the Eagles as a fan. Really not sure anyway
For the Eagles, it all depends on what team shows up (the one who played the Redskins, Cincinnatti, and Baltimore or the the one who played the NY Giants, Cowboys, and Arizona.) And if the Good Eagles can keep being the Good Eagles.

13. i'm surprised no one's picked the Ravens yet
they have perhaps the best defense in the league and could go far into the playoffs, provided Flacco can handle the pressure.

If someone made me bet, I would say the Steelers. They did not play well in those games, but it's a whole new story in the playoffs.

and I don't think that's going to cut it, esp with the Titans. We got lucky in a few games.

25. I am shocked that the Eagles got in the playoffs
Edited on Mon Dec-29-08 04:41 PM by mvd
A while ago, I thought they should start anew without Reid and McNabb, so I'm not going all the way and expecting great things. The team still has holes that hurt them (RB, WR, LB,) and sometimes play calling that makes no sense.

My holiday was nice. Saw some relatives yesterday and had a quiet Christmas. Hope you had a great holiday, and I wish you a happy New Year! :hi:

20. Throw a dart. It's been an odd year.
One of the hottest two teams misses the playoffs with an 11-5 record, and one of the worst teams in the NFL makes the playoffs because the rest of their division can't even threaten a winning record.

If Haynesworth plays, I pick Tennessee and Philadelphia, with Tennessee winning. If Haynesworth is out, then the Colts beat Phillie. Yeah, Phillie is an odd pick, but with the Giants looking like the Cowboys in December, there's no clear champ in the NFC. If it's not Phillie, I pick Carolina to lose to the AFC.

27. I'm voting for the Ravens, but
that's only because they're my favorite team of those still in the hunt. Truth be told, I think the Colts will win.

I just hope there isn't a Manning-Manning Super Bowl. I'd have to avoid the sports page and sports radio for weeks.

30. Watch the Eagles shock the world.
Minnesota is going down, bank on that. The Giants are a shadow of themselves, gone. Revenge for 2003 in Carolina. Revenge on the Ravens for earlier this year. Eagles win it all.

Hey, no one thought the Giants could do it last year either.

Run! B-Dawk is coming to get you!

34. That really depends on Andy Reid,
if he decides that the play calling should be 80-20 pass, their done. They just don't have the receivers.

But if he sticks to a 60-40 pass they just might have a chance.

38. Yes, when the defense knows what you are going to do, it's easy.
You can have Jerry Rice, Steve Largent and Art Monk on your team and it won't matter. He better keep his head out of his ass.
