It Has Been A 'Memorable' Christmas Here....
Around bed-time on Christmas Eve, both grandsons came down with some flu-ish bug, and were extensively nauseous. Just about everyone wound up feeling distinctly bilious and off their best by morning. The boys did get up for presents but retired again to their beds almost immediately. The day was spent in naps by all; nothing was cooked until a very late-night spaghetti dose was thrown together (minus onions) for the half of the family that was awake, and a turkey still awaits in the refrigerator. This morning, the cat took a run up the trunk of the tree, and set it toppling....

ps my SIL's tree was assaulted by the cat as well, and took a tumble...

4. Glad To Know It Happens Elsewhere, Ma'am
We are all recovered by now, fortunately.

The cat, anyway, had a burst of real fun.

We may do the dinner up proper today, anyway.

10. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours, sir

My son had some weird stomach virus (fortunately just a one-day thing) on the last day of school. That was kind of funny, actually.

3. What kind of "supercat" knocks a tree down?
Bionic feline, sir?

Sorry the family Christmas was less than stellar.

7. A Tuxedo-Cat, Sir, Of Fair Size
It did not so much knock it down as over-balance the thing. After a few moments excitement swatting at low hanging ornaments, it ducked under the branches and ran up the trunk amid the branches; once past the half-way point, the beastie's weight set it to tipping. Towards a window, by the way, but wife caught it before it could take out the glass.

9. Ah, the holidays.
I saw no one, did nothing, and had an all around great day. Best Christmas in years. Watched a movie, played some music, read a little of a book, and did a little gaming. All in all a smashing success!

Sorry to hear that your day was so eventful in a non-fun way. Spaghetti minus onions...that's tough. I would have chanced it.

Hope you're all up and feeling better soon. I recommend a week without GD-P. It worked wonders for my all around well being. :)

12. Best wishes to you and your family for the remainder of the holiday, Sir.

With regard to Msr. Kitty, mayhaps a bit of schooling in the proper way to assemble, climb and become Christmas tree decorations by those inveterate masters, Iris and Fern, is in order:

16. Well, Sir, at least you won't ever forget this Christmas.
By next year, it will be funny, and the children will remember that year when they have their own grandchildren.

17. Definitely It will Be Remembered, Sir
And is already being grinned over.

In my experience, all the best old stories have that quality, of being far more fun in the telling then they really were to experience....

Feel for ya! Make sure that cat doesn't get the Turkey. We had one drag one out of the oven (door left open while cook went to get stuffing bowl" and we almost lost it on the kitchen floor.
