Billiards question
Specifically 8-ball. On the break, if Player1 sinks two stripes and a solid, what happens next?

1. The way I've always played it is player1 gets his/her choice in that case

4. That's how I've always played it
But a rinky-dink online flash-game says that the other player shoots next in that case. I always thought that the breaker needed to sink one ball to keep shooting, but if two or more balls are sunk, then the breaker gets to choose stripes/solids.

Apparently not, says the rinky-dink flash-game.

3. I play in an APA league
By our rules, the player that broke has his/her choice of stripes or solids. If only one ball goes in, the player must take that type.

5. That's what I've always thought
If you're playing by the real rules, then I'm happy to hear that you play the same way.

6. yeah... I'm not thrilled with all of the APA rules
We play that slop counts, the only shot you have to call is the eight ball. Also, any scratch is ball in hand and can go anywhere on the table. But, its still a lot of fun and I've become a much better player in the last year (playing in the league) then I had in the previous twenty playing random people in bars.
