5. Well, I'm closer to my SO, and I make more money up here.
So, overall, it's better.

I will NOT miss those 1000-degree summer days at all. Life is a series of trade-offs.

(Note, even though I am closer to my SO, I couldn't drive out there today since the damn Interstate is closed. I just hope it's open by Wednesday.

19. Sounds like a 50 year snow in Wa. (if there is such a thing)
Lived Wa. state for forty years.
Heavy and long snow fall quite rare, usually every 5 years or so.
This one sounds pretty heavy and wide spread.
There was one memorable snow, then 2 weeks of freezing weather, the white stuff got old real quickly.

I feel bad for you NW folk, I know this isn't typical up there. Meanwhile, here in Pgh, where snow is more typical, we have none. But it is going down to 6 degrees, a bit unusual for late December...

Montreal's been getting clobbered over the weekend. My sister's flight to Ft. Lauderdale almost didn't get off the ground yesterday afternoon.
