Well, I'm officially giving up on eHarmony.
I've been a member there since September 2007, and I only signed up to see if there was anybody worth meeting. I finally started paying for my subscription at the start of May this year, and ever since then, it's been crap after crap. Nobody interesting, nobody interested.

It's not like I didn't have enough matches to sort through - quite to the contrary! I was matched with almost 600 women within about 150 miles of where I live, and not a single one was really worth the time or effort or, more importantly, the money. Not a single one. I think I reached the "open communication" stage with two women, and even they completely lost interest after about a week.

Guess I've just had enough. Now I can go back to being single in a nice, cheap, not-wasting-my-money-on-a-flawed-system sort of way.

1. I truly believe that site is a scam.
I too subscribed and the matches were not anywhere near what my profile projected. The guys profiles that they sent me, well they were 20-30 years older than me. I complained, and they told me I had to "expand my search" in order to find a match. Tried to get my subscription dollars refunded, because I felt that they reneged on their contract, but to no avail, and finally told them to stop sending me matches. I didn't want others to be disappointed.

Wishing you good luck.

2. I'm sorry you went through that.
I just came to the point today where I decided it would be easier to save the money and not go through the hassle of rejection and disinterest from my hundreds of matches that were thrown at me in hopes that one might stick.

Best of luck to you, too!
