Here's what I'm obsessing about tonight. I like to keep you updated.
So, I bought all the gifts for the 8 year old boy whose name I was given from the "Star Tree" (don't actually have a name--he's #132 to me!). Got him A Rubik's Revolution (which two parents in the church tell me is all the rage), a "Trouble" game, three books, two jigsaw puzzles, and a "Battleship" game. We weren't supposed to spend more than $75. I just sat down and counted what I spent. It comes to about $55.00. Of course, I got two of the games and the puzzle on last minute sales at Farm and Fleet, the books are discounted a bit because I belong to the store's discount club, so it would be a bit more if I had bought these at full price. But I keep feeling like I'm short-changing the kid. I want him to have a good Christmas.

So, this is what I'm obsessing about. And it'll go on all evening because I don't even have to go over sermon notes tonight. It's our children's Christmas program tomorrow, so I'm not preaching. So, there's really nothing to distract me.

If I can't get to feeling better, I'll run to F&F tomorrow and get him another puzzle, which was something his list said he likes. They had a whole shelf of 'em on clearance.

But it is no fun being nuts, let me tell ya!

9. I think he will be happy whether it cost 55 or 75...

it shouldn't really be about how much things cost.

7. Microscopes are good too.
Adding that educational component makes me feel so virtuous in times like these. Plus, boogers, blood, and skin are really cool to look at if you are an 8 year old.

Trust me. I know these things.
