You know what's really smart to do on a blizzard-like night?

Walk in the middle of the street or far into the street wearing nothing but dark clothing. I almost hit two of these people in the last week. I can even understand having to walk in the street because even where there are sidewalks, they never clear them; but for godsakes, wear something so drivers can see you!

1. Black is fine by the side of the street, where the white snow is piled up.

But the middle, where the snow has been cleared away... not so much.

2. I almost hit a woman

she was walking a black dog, had a total black outfit on. She glared at me and I told her "reflectors, please."

3. Reflective clothing or some stand-alone reflector would be the best,

but I get the feeling that a lot of people think reflective stuff is 'geeky' and so avoid it. Better to be geeky than in intensive care.
