When I tell you I can't get a tech out to you until Sunday, I am not setting you up for negotiations
It means that we really don't have anything available until Sunday and no matter how often you ask me to check, there is nothing available. If there was something available before then, I would tell you, as I have no vested interest in you not getting a tech until Sunday. x(

1. I had the power to my house disconnected so that my computer wouldn't get a "surge"
and now it won't turn on.

Did it get "surged", whatever that is? Should I take it out of the packing box and look at it, or will that void the warranty? Or should I just take it back to the store and let them deal with it?

I've had the GEEK Squad over a dozen or so times, but all they ever do is sneer and laugh at me, and tell me to check my "fuses" and not to get my union suit in a knot, which is funny, because I've not worn a union seat in almost 5 years so I don't know what they mean, and I'm getting tired of writing them checks.

And my water is cold now, too, all the time, and the TV just shows some black thing that I assume must be one of those fancy BBC shows that I never understand. Could a "surged" hard drive cause the water problems?

By the way, this is all your fault, you stupid fucking ass, and I hate you, and why didn't you call me about this before? Why do you assholes have to wait until your customers have been so fucked over that they finally call you? Why can't you lay fucks call us for once, and be a little proactive for a change?

You make me sick, and I'm calling your supervisor, as soon as I finish this thirtieth beer and hit my wife.

The only reason you won't send a tech out to my house is because you are biased against me because I had the audacity to point out your shitty service.

I have to tell you this.

A few years ago, after moving back to Ann Arbor for school I called comcast to come out and hook up my cable and internet and was given a date about a week out...

Not satisfied with it, but accepting it, I went to the Ann Arbor mall to buy some stuff and saw the Comcast Cable Kiosk with a cute girl working there, so, being me, I went and flirted with her until I had her sending a guy out the next day...

That cable installer guy was not amused being at my house after 6pm... But I had my cable.

and I know that it's not anybody's fault in the call center but whoever does HR/hiring for techs in southern New England for Comcast needs to be subjected to the techs they employ. One guy tried to tell me that I needed RJ-11 sockets and connectors instead of RJ-45 (actually the correct term is 8P8C) for my home network and that Cat-5 wire was insufficient. That's an "oh really!" moment if there ever was one.
