4. Honestly?
Whoever made the Facebook page pretending to be him ("I'm Al Zaidi. I like Shoes. I don't like George Bush, but I like throwing shoes at him.") is a heartless idiot horsefucker. Hey, horsefucker on Facebook, this isn't a joke! This isn't the equivalent of some American throwing a shoe at someone in a press conference in America! First of all, it has cultural significance in the Arab culture, and second of all, considering the chaotic, corrupt nature of Iraq today, and what we have condoned in the War on Terror, the only people who would do this IN IRAQ- especially if they weren't an American citizen- would be those who were incredibly brave, or those who were incredibly naive, and after living through half a decade of the hell we created, being kidnapped once before, and arrested twice, this guy is most definitely NOT naive. He had no illusions about what was going to happen, and he did it anyway, and now his arms and ribs are broken and he's probably going to jail for years. But, oh, yeah, whatever, as long as you can get your lulz about how "unprofessional" he was, deciding to take enormous personal consequences for one (okay, two) shots at the bastard who brought on the collapse of an entire civilization.
